- Design Issue with Struts Validation

When I go to a page for the 1st time, the validation takes affect. Obviously I 
don't want that, I only want to validate upon submitting.  How do I get around 
this? 
   
  My form extends ValidatorActionForm
   
  My Action Mapping in Struts-Config:
