My impression has been that if you want to use some of the higher functionality of the tree then you might be better off doing it by hand rather than using the S2 tag. That said, it was several months ago that I first tried it. http://dojotoolkit.org with the caveat that it is not the best documented project out there; I spent a fair amount of time reading JavaScript source.
