I am interested in the actual writing of custom tags and I also hoped that by learning how to do this it would help facilitate my previous unanswered question of how to access the action through scriptlet code in the jsp.
I know the action is on the ValueStack but I am not sure of the "correct" way of accessing it. As a temporary work around I just pop off the top value which seems to always be the action that brought me to the jsp. This approach seems wrong however and I am sure there must be a better way. These are however two separate issues that I am still trying to figure out. newton.dave wrote: > > --- Chris Pratt wrote: >> Wesley Wannemacher wrote: >> > I like to think the ones I wrote are good :) >> > http://www.wantii.com/wordpress/?cat=3 >> I don't see anything up there on writing Custom >> Tags, which was the original caller's question. > > Actually, the original question was whether or not > there were any "custom tag tutorials", not tag writing > tutorials. > > Given the OP's other question regarding accessing > action properties from a scriptlet I'm guesing s/he > didn't want to write a custom tag but rather use them. > > Could be wrong, kinda hard to tell. > > d. > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Know-of-any-good-custom-tag-tutorials-for-struts-2--tf4435689.html#a12661989 Sent from the Struts - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
