It did not throw exception or anything like that. I specifically set the display format to "MM/dd/yyyy". Visually it displays correctly on UI as "01/02/2009" The problem is: When the form is submitted, I got data back as "2009-01-02T00:00:00-08:00" instead of "01/02/2009".
