I think people that know JavaScript, and/or those that have specific accessibility/unobtrusive JS/counter-to-the-plugin requirements agree with you.

(I really do need to remove my s2jquery project, though--it's not even close to updated, and I have to clear some of the code w/ a previous employer that *did* have pretty specific degradation requirements.)
