Not sure, But check whether the Javascript is enabled in IE.

However, when validation(client side) failed, the IE prompt a dialog, saying "An exception occurred: Error wrong attribute". Is it this theme incompatible with IE? We have to use this theme since it properly maintain our layout on the page.
