Hi Amol, if You have tests for it i would go for the upgrade, so that You will instantly find if anything is broken. Also if it's not finished You should ask your customer if he wish to spend money/time to do it, in the end he is paying so he have the right to decide, simply present him with pros and cons of such a process. As for compatibility, most likely some things will stop working or will work differently.
