Hi Al,

You could have used the registry to store the sequences and endpoints and
refer to them from your configuration but not proxy services, at least for
the moment. Also we are in the process of allowing users to specify multiple
synapse configurations which are merged at the configuration building time.
(This is not yet available)

We are currently working on a Clustering guide and once we are done with
that I will send a link. (probably on early next week)
