Mentor to help develop SYNCOPE-143 the GUI Installer Dear All,
I would like to get involved and I was hoping someone could mentor me.
I have several years of IDM experience predominately deploying and
customising proprietary products in Java and have always wanted to
get involved in contributing to an open source project. At the moment
I have the capacity and would really like to help.
Looking through the open items in jira the simplest one (depending on
the requirements) I think I can tackle in isolation is SYNCOPE-143
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SYNCOPE-143> the GUI Installer.
Would someone be willing to provide me guidance and mentoring?
Also, what are the requirements for the GUI Installer. There isn't
much information associated with the item number.
Hi Jesal,
this is definitely nice to hear!
SYNCOPE-143 is currently planned for 1.3.0 [1] (consider that current
trunk is set to 1.2.0-SNAPSHOT), here is why there is no detailed
requirement for it: we can detail this and then go updating SYNCOPE-143.
Moreover, there is absolutely no problem to move SYNCOPE-143 to 1.2.0
I would suggest you to take some confidence with Syncope (starting from
[2] and exploring the various possibilities) before getting through the
graphical installer task.
Moreover, since you are intentioned to contribute, please fill and
submit ASAP a contributor license agreement, as explained at [2].
Finally, I'd think it is better to move to dev@ ML for such topic.
Regards.
