What is currently happening to you is that the CSVDir connector configuration is malformed or missing some required parameter, hence temporary HSQLDB tables are just not created by the connector itself; this provokes the exceptions you see. The CSVDir connector, in fact, empowers HSQLDB features for generating SQL tables for CSV files.
