Hi,
1) Is there any .pdf manual for syncope? I mean a real manual, not
the short list of instructions from http://syncope.apache.org/ and a
couple of posts on a blog.
Hi, unfortunately not.
If "the short list of instructions from http://syncope.apache.org/ "
means the project wiki
(https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SYNCOPE/), then you are right.
2) The status of ldap users is reported as "User not found". Why?
It seems that syncope is not able to find the user just created.
Usually, this is caused by a mapping error: be sure to have well
configured AccountId and AccountLink for ldap resource.
3) When I try to create a new user I get the following error:
>> javax.naming.NameAlreadyBoundException: [LDAP: error code 68 -
Entry Already Exists]
Of course, is a new user, so it does not exist already.
See point 2.
4) Is there a documented list of errors. I can't post here every
error I get. I need a manual + a list of common errors and what they
mean. Is there anything like that?
No, there isn't any manual or error list.
Documentation is definitely Syncope's Achille's heel: wiki, blog posts
and mailing lists are just something to alleviate the need for complete
and proper documentation.
Unfortunately, no volunteer stepped into about this so far: I could be
available to give some insights about Syncope internals but we do need
someone here - with some English language skills, possibly - leading
this documentation effort.
Regards.
