Hi,
I have just opened

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SYNCOPE-534

for tracking this feature.

For the moment I've set it to next stable release 1.3.0, even though it would fit more in 3.0.0, alongside with other authentication & authorization features. Let's see how it goes.

Regards.

    Hi guys,

as we discussed a couple of weeks ago, I proposed to add a feature
in Syncope to provide a pure OAuth2 Service Provider.

    Regards

I'm thinking about using Syncope as our new IDM.

It would be nice if I could use it as the backend for an
            OAuth 2.0
            Authorization Server.

            Would that be possible?

        Hi Richard,
Syncope is - at least currently - a "pure" Identity Manager,
        e.g. it is
not directly involved in authentication / authorization
        operations like
        as OAuth 2.0.

You can always, however, use Syncope jointly with some Access
        Manager
like as CAS (I've done this for several customers) to
        implement such
        scenario.

Some information about the support in CXF for OAuth 2.0 [1]
        might also
        be relevant.

        Regards.
