Hi,
I’m trying to connect Apache Syncope with a LDAP Directory (OpenLDAP).
Hi Roderic,
thanks for your interest in Apache Syncope.
I always have the error “Connection failure” so before starting with
the details I have two questions :
-Is there any way to have more specific messages than just “Connection
failure”
Sure: you need to look at core-connid.log.
-What do I have to do with the little buttons on the right : “On/off”
: do I have to activate each of them or can I let them unchecked

I guess that the screenshot above was taken from 2.0.0-M2; since the
last release, an issue was raised about this [1] and now the form looks
definetely better [2].
For the sake of clarity, the switch indicates the possibility to
override the value provide for connector configuration when configuring
the resource(s) using such connector instance.
For your first trials with Syncope you can safely leave it disabled.
Once solved the LDAP connection issues, you will also probably face a
couple of rather rough issues: [3] which is already fixed on master
branch and [4] which is being fixed in these days.
I would suggest to switch from 2.0.0-M2 to 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT (in order to
get a whole bunch of issues fixed) and also to watch [4] (so that you
also are notified when resolved).
Regards.
