Does Syncope support Tomcat 9? I'm hoping maybe the documentation is just
slightly old.

I can see no reasons why Syncope 2.0 shouldn't work with Tomcat 9; yet, Tomcat 8 / 8.5 are the ones officially supported (alongside with Payara, Glassfish 4.1, Wildfly 9 and 10) [1]. Syncope 2.0 requires Java 7 or higher [2], and Tomcat 8.5 is the most recent version requiring the same Java version.

Please note that this does not mean that you cannot use JDK 1.8 to run Syncope 2.0: FYI in my company the suggested setup is JDK 8 + Tomcat 8.5 or Wildlfy 10.

Conversely, you can see how the upcoming Syncope 2.1 will officially support Tomcat 9 [4], as the minimum requirement is now for JDK 8.

Regards.
