Hi Lionel,
we are an open source community, not a software factory: there is nothing like a
"product roadmap" over here.
As such, there is no scheduled EOL for 4.0 and 4.1.
Anyway, I would suggest to take into account the EOL set for the main
dependencies on which Syncope is built.
For example Spring Boot and its ecosystem (check [1]):
* Syncope 4.0 -> Spring Boot 3.4 / End of OSS support: 2025-12
* Syncope 4.1 -> Spring Boot 3.5 / End of OSS support: 2026-06
* Syncope 5.0 -> Spring Boot 4.1 / End of OSS support: 2027-07
Even though OSS support is now ended for Spring Boot 3.4 and 3.5, some of the
underlying components as Spring Framework and Spring Security are being updated
for some more time.
Given what said above, I believe that the following considerations can be drawn:
1. Syncope 4.0 looks close to EOL
2. Syncope 4.1 has likely some releases ahead, but not many
3. Syncope 5.0 needs to get out as soon as possible; as soon as this happens,
the work for Syncope 5.1 based on Spring Boot 4.2 needs to start
I hope this answers your question.
Regards.

Hi Francesco and all,
Thanks for the notice.
Do you have somewhere the Syncope roadmap, I would like to know the end of life
for Syncope 4.0 and 4.1.
Thanks
Lionel
