Create a custom server for scribe

Hi all,
On the wiki pages i read an example
(http://wiki.apache.org/cassandra/ScribeToCassandra)   to store data
from scribe that use a custom thrift server. I tried to write custom
server  in php without success. there is someone here who tried to do
the same?
