You do have the java libs installed. The labeling changed in 0.6.1 and now uses 
the format libthrift-${version}${tag}.jar . The tag will be "-snapshot" when 
building against the trunk and will be empty when building a released branch. 
libthrift-0.7.0-snapshot.jar is the file you are looking for. If you do not 
need functionality that has just been added to the trunk i would recommend 
using the jars available in the apache maven central repo 
(https://repository.apache.org/).
