the THRIFT-347 patch has been commited and the commit can be found in the
repo:

But a few weeks later, the whole readAll() method was removed by THRIFT-638

I can't tell wether or not this change is valid, sorry. Especially as major
parts of the code have been modified, rewritten and pushed around several
times We really need some PHP guys to chime in here.

I see that https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-347 is closed but
code generated by PHP thrift library still does not contain attached patch.
Does anybody know the state of this issue?
We sporadically get "TSocket: timed out reading 4 bytes from
localhost:31212".
One comment says about "hangs" forever. Sounds scary :)
