Please bear in mind that I am a more or less complete novice to thrift...

I have just finished building and installing thrift from source on CentOS 6.8,
gcc 4.8. Looking at the installed thrift libraries (and dependencies such as
boost), they are all 64-bit. Although that is my preferred architecture...I
might need to build the actual thrift server and client as 32-bit executables,
as they are part of a larger set of programs which may or may not compile in
64-bit. Is there any standard way to build thrift 32-bit libraries, and can
they co-exist with the 64-bit versions?

Thanks
Ranbir
