The rendering problem was resolved but now I found one more issue. No need for unit test the problem is reproduced with tika-application command line tool
like
java -jar tika-app-0.9.jar <in data> > <out date>
Just use the attached test data

Wasn't this just a problem with how you were rendering your text?
If there's something else, can you try writing a small unit test that
shows up the problem, and post it to jira?
