In the end I decided that a smarter move would be to keep it simple and exclude excel files from default parser and extend my own from OOXMLParser. This way no decorators are involved and I can go back till Tika 1.6 so hopefully I would be able to drop my jar into Alfresco as is. Thank you for bearing with me, Nick! -- Mikhail
