Hi Tika Team! I hope I'm sending this message to the correct place. First of all, thank you for all of your work on this project - our team loves it. We did have a customer bring up a bug they noticed regarding footnote numbering not being consistent between documents and the parsed text from those documents. Looking into it, I found this existing bug which I believe is the same issue our customers are currently seeing: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-2265.
I was tasked to reach out for some assistance on this - just looking for some information on if this still has any chance to be patched, if it has been patched and the bug ticket wasn't updated, or if you have any other suggestions on how to proceed if the bug isn't destined to be looked at again.
