Right, but your response and Dave’s are subtly different. Dave implies that if there’s a strong consensus then maybe there’s no need for another vote. That’s not how the request for input was originally billed. If that had been the case, perhaps Atanu wouldn’t have voted for option 12 and instead would have voted for 4G (for example). That said, I applaud everyone’s hard work and passion on creating and picking the logo. I’ve seen a company pick a logo several times over the years and someone has always objected to the final version as “ugly”, “stupid”, “unnecessary change’, etc. It’s much like writing an installer or user interface—it’s a thankless job and all you’ll hear are those that think you did a terrible job. :)

I now have a much improved version of that original logo and propose that we use this as the official Trafodion logo going forward.
