Betreff: [ANNOUNCE] Turbne 5.1 Components Release Finished 2022
with Turbine Webapp Archetype - Wiki Update

Dear Turbine Users and Developers,

this is about informing you about the current state of Turbine!

- Turbine 5.1 version (all components) is now complete with the release of

the archetype.

        https://turbine.apache.org/turbine/development/turbine-5-1/

https://github.com/apache/turbine-archetypes/tree/turbine-webapp-5.1-2.0.0

        https://github.com/apache/turbine-core/tree/turbine-5.1

        https://github.com/apache/turbine-build (gitmodule where all
Turbine components are referenced)

This release is done completely in Git (although it might still stating
it's in Subversion on some pages ;-)

- Next version is Turbine 5.2 with Java 11 baseline. Turbine has still
support for Torque (version 5.1).

Tell us, what you would like to support, and where we should invest some
effort.

- Turbine wiki starting page has been updated (refurbished)!

        https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/TURBINE/Home

If you want contribute (code, ideas, proposals, questions ..), just a
reminder ;-) try it

        - here (on the mailing lists)
        - using github issues or pull requests (in any Turbine core or
Fulcrum component on Github)
        - Apache Jira tickets, https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/TRB
.

Should we use more/other communication features, e.g. with
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INFRA/Git+-+.asf.yaml+features
?

Thanks for feedback!

Have fun!

Best regards,

Turbine PMC
