It is a good idea. +1 to develop the roadmap by functional areas so that we
can share the visions for the project. And the community can better
understand where we are and what are next. Contributors can then
pick/propose items from the roadmap to work on. It's also very important to
keep the scenarios in mind. It would be nice to see which part of a scenario
can be run with what features to be added.
For each area, we can have a page/section on our web site (read only for
non-committers) to track the roadmap and a peer page on the wiki open to the
whole community to track the wish list.
