make sure you use the $ECLIPSE_HOME/dropins folder, not "plugins"... you can 
easily confuse Eclipse's plugin registry if you mess around with the plugins 
folder. Since Eclipse 3.5, which uses the new provisioning module, interfering 
with the plugins folder is not recommended.
