I've seen this happen on some Usergrid instances in the past and I think it happens because these types of things: - The Tomcat/Usergrid process has run out of memory, i.e. Java Out of Memory exceptions - Usergrid has lost connectivity to Cassandra and the Cassandra client (Hector or Astyanax) gets into a bad state
But those are just my guesses about the problem. Check your logs for exceptions that might be helpful in diagnosing the problem.
