hi all,

returning to this after a mini-vacation and, after going through the recommended checklist a couple times, i still haven't solved this.  i'm including some more detailed information.  if any additional detail is needed, just let me know.  any advice is more than appreciated.  TIA.

-image is in an image group
Groups win7_x64_base is in: allImages  allVMimages

-image group is mapped to a computer group

(note: vclvm0001 is up with the image; reload request appears to have succeeded)

-you have an active management node (it is updating lastcheckin in the management node table)

-management node is in a management node group
     Management Node        Groups
       localhost                     allManagementNodes

-management node group maps to a computer group containing specified computer from above
     Management Node Group    Computer Groups
allManagementNodes           'All VM Computers'  allComputers  newimages  newvmimages

-schedule for computer is available during the selected time
entire grid for all resources is green.

-platform for image matches platform of computer
    win7_x64_base admin@Local i386 Windows 7 (VMware) 10
         ...
    vclvm0001 10.128.64.100 available i386 VCL 24x7 No Image

-privileges set up in Privileges section of site to allow you to access image and computer
Question here: i established a node based on computer group name ('All VM Computers') and the node names (vclvm0001). am i misinterpreting the proper value here?
i can access the image on the pull down menu as a "normal" vcl user (myself) and as the vcl admin.

-specs of image (min RAM, min CPU speed, etc) are at or less than specs of computer
     win7_x64_base admin@Local i386 Windows 7 (VMware) 10 4096 2 2327 1000 N/A
        ...
    vclvm0001 10.128.64.100 available i386 No Image 4096 2 2327 1000

-no other entries in the reservation table for the computer that overlap with the selected time period
not allowed to create any reservations

i am not familiar with php....
is there a file where reservation attempts are logged?
thanks....

Will,

Here is a list of things to check from a previous thread (some already
covered):

- -image is in an image group
- -image group is mapped to a computer group
- -computer group contains computers in the "available" state
- -you have an active management node (it is updating lastcheckin in the
management node table)
- -management node is in a management node group
- -management node group maps to a computer group containing specified computer
from above
- -schedule for computer is available during the selected time
- -platform for image matches platform of computer
- -privileges set up in Privileges section of site to allow you to access image
and computer
- -specs of image (min RAM, min CPU speed, etc) are at or less than specs of
computer
- -no other entries in the reservation table for the computer that overlap with
the selected time period

If you are familiar with php, you can trace through the isAvailable function
in utils.php to see where it is returning.
