Cool, it's nice to know that it works. To round things out, FreeRDP seems to be a workable alternative on Linux to get the necessary RDP client support - something to try in the new year.

For viewing videos, a local browser works much better than doing the same thing through the VCL. If the video needs to be played in a particular application, we typically don’t make those applications available through the VCL. As far as audio goes, it can be OK with a suitably low bit-rate, but that, too, is usually best done outside the context of a RDP session. Audio also gets complicated in that not all RDP clients support it in the first place.
