Dear Hello,

Actually, Velocity is quite simple to use on the server side. Note
that it's not really a scripting language but instead is a text markup
language. Technically, it's use in web pages is server side
(generating HTML or XML for the web). Separately, I use it on the
server side to generate text for email messages, for example.

Hi,

cool users guide but I have not found any mention of server side scripting:
How could it be possible to include in a Velocity template some java
instruction to be run server side. I know that MVC do not allow this
possibility so that's why I am wondering how to produce templates which allow
server side java scripting. Maybe it is not possible with Velocity ?

  Cheers !
