ugh.  no, that shouldn't be there at all.  it's apparently been hiding
in there, overlooked for some time.  removing now...

System.out.println, and rather use the LOG stuff so that they keep the
production logs to a reasonable size and scan them for 'real' errors.

 I was just wondering if that line needed to be there, or if it could be
replaced with a log.debug or something...
