Yes - that's exactly what I am doing!! Trying to come up with a smart build target that will give me a proepr tools.war file that I just deploy.

The only velocity specific issue here was specifying differt layout for my tools, ad I have taken care of it by specifying differnt belocity.properties file in web.xml!!!

Not really a Velocity specific issue, but I'll note ant is a big help here.
You can make multiple targets (e.g. "war-main" or "war-tools") that each do
a build with the same source files but different configurations.  It's worth
it to spend the effort to set up a good build system (a "one-step build") to
reduce the risk of errors and make the deployment simpler.
