The Velocity developers are very pleased to make the first beta release of Velocity Engine 1.6-beta2 available for download.
Since 1.6-beta1 there have been numerous small bugfixes and improvements, and a new "strict reference mode" feature. See the change log (http://velocity.apache.org/engine/devel/changes-report.html) for a full listing. This should be a drop-in replacement for Velocity 1.5.
