Hello,
New to whirr, having trouble *running whirr from an ec2 instance*
(authentication when setting up other machines)
First, here is my configuration:
whirr.cluster-name=hadoop
whirr.instance-templates=1 hadoop-namenode+hadoop-jobtracker,1
hadoop-datanode+hadoop-tasktracker
# For EC2 set AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID and AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY environment variables.
whirr.provider=aws-ec2
whirr.identity=${env:AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID}
whirr.credential=${env:AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY}
# The size of the instance to use. See http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/
whirr.hardware-id=m1.large
whirr.image-id=us-east-1/ami-da0cf8b3
whirr.location-id=us-east-1
# By default use the user system SSH keys. Override them here.
whirr.private-key-file=${sys:user.home}/.ssh/id_rsa_whirr
whirr.public-key-file=${whirr.private-key-file}.pub
I export the credentials, then create the key:
ssh-keygen -t rsa -P '' -f ~/.ssh/id_rsa_whirr
Then I launch the cluster:
whirr launch-cluster --config hadoop-ec2.properties --private-key-file
~/.ssh/id_rsa_whirr
The nodes start (costs me $!), but then authentication errors all over the
place, along with Preconditions failures. Here are some samples of the
