Yes, but WSS4J is an optional dependency. You don't need it (unless you're doing ws-security, in which case, just drop in the released wss4j 1.5 jar instead) :-)

I will be doing a second release candidate tomorrow and then a full
release early next week.

Why can't you run 1.1RC1 on 1.4? It is still 1.4 compatabile.
