Yes, you don't need this module ( as i remember ). I'll try to take a
look at this in free time.
As there is no optional modules in the pom it is quite difficult to find
what's mandatory and what's optional in the dependencies. I also don't find
answers to my questions on the dependency guide page. I think the matrix
does not present enough use cases
