Hi,
Ok, some of my personal thoughts :
- CXF is a way to go as XFire successor ( you can think of CXF as
of XFire 2.0) , but as i know, currently CXF isn't mature enough to be
used in production environment, so my personal advice is to hold off
for a while with porting apps to CXF.
- CXF should have ( in some time ) very easy way to migrate from
XFire to CXF ( with minimal modification ), but its still not done (
as i know :) .
- XFire isn't abandoned and won't be, till it can be easily replaced
by CXF. You will see new XFire release in next few days , so you
shouldn't be worried about your current work.
So, take a look at CXF site, to be up-to-date with all new releases
and migration possibilites but don't worry about your XFire
deployments.

It would be great to get an answer to this.
It seems as though the main xfire devs have abandoned this project for
CXF making much needed improvments and fixes there and not here.
