If I disable the Proxy settings in MyEclipse the Client Service GUI can find that URL in order to validate it and create stubs from that wsdl and I don't get the 504 Gateway Timeout error anymore. So in order to let enabled the Proxy settings I will have to reconfigure the client (or the whole other web service project) somehow to use the Proxy, but for the testing on local server a URL served from another project I will have to disable the Proxy. That doesn't make to much sense ...
Now the other error from my previous message I hope it is a backward compatibility issue because I upgraded to XFire 1.2.6. I know that some versions of supporting third party .jar files, includ other versions of same supporting third party .jar files, which are not always backwards compatible and the method or constructor of needed signature was not there. I will try to redo using the standard distribution of jars that are coming with MyEclipse 5.5. If you have any other idea why I get that Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.setParams(Lorg/apache/commons/httpclient/params/HttpConnectionManagerParams;)V please let me know.
