Thanks, I looked at the faq again and noticed I missed the bit about editing the scomp.cmd script. After changing line 18 to "%JAVA_HOME%/bin/java -classpath %cp% rg.apache.xmlbeans.impl.tool.SchemaCompiler %*" it is working.
