We have been looking at that, but, since XMLBeans already had some
home-brewed way of dealing with enumerations in JDK1.4 it didn't seem
possible to do JDK1.5 enumerations without potentially breaking
backwards-compat, which is the reason we ended up not doing it. We'll
probably need to add some specific .xsdconfig setting, so we can warn
people of the potential breakage. I don't think I am able to promise it
for the next release right now, though.
