# pkg change-facet doc.man=false
will remove existing actions tagged with facet.doc.man=true and prevent any
such actions from being installed in the future (at least until you
change-facet them back).
Most man pages should be tagged like this, as well as most locale-specific
files and directories. There are some other facets in use, including the
version-lock facets, which allow you to decouple some packages from the
rest of the system (which is particularly useful when doing userland
development).
