We have closed 119 items (not much progress since the last update), and
still have 197 open items (some added) in the 4.22.1 milestone [1].

It seems we need some more time to work on the outstanding items, so I

Hi All,
It's been 8 weeks (around 2 months) since the 4.22.0 release. As
discussed
here [1], I'll serve as the RM for 4.22.1 release. My colleague Jithin
will
support me as the co-RM, assisting with triage, reviews, testing, merges,
etc and release work.
I propose the following timeline for the 4.22.1 release:
- Now until 9 March 2026: Accept PRs for bug fixes, improvements and
features, with appropriate reviews and tests.
- 10 - 16 March 2026: Stabilize the 4.22 branch. During this time, Only
PRs
for the critical or blocker issues will be accepted.
- 17 - 30 March 2026: Cut the 4.22.1 RC1 (and additional RCs if needed),
start & conclude the vote, and finish the release process/work.
All open issues and PRs targeted for this release are tracked in the
4.22.1
release milestone [2] and the project board [3]. Ping me
