Yes, this is the right place. Make sure your class implements the
Avalon ThreadSafe interface and declare it in cocoon.xconf
Another solution I use is to inherit the Cocoon servlet and override
the standard servlet init method.
Works also. However, this prevents it to access any of the
Cocoon-provided components.
