If im'not wrong jboss doesn't look for jars in WEB-INF/lib. Try isolating the classloading process for your webapp:

I am running into problems with it I have a perfectly working app which runs quite well on a tomcat 5.5.9 when I deploy the thing to jboss I get following error: javax.servlet.ServletException: /login/login.jsp(36,7) No tag "messages" defined in tag library imported with prefix "h" javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet.service(FacesServlet.java:125) org.apache.myfaces.component.html.util.ExtensionsFilter.doFilter(ExtensionsFilter.java:112) de.mindmatters.faces.spring.RequestHandledFilter.doFilter(RequestHandledFilter.java:117) org.jboss.web.tomcat.filters.ReplyHeaderFilter.doFilter(ReplyHeaderFilter.java:81) The MyFaces is 1.0.9 and the jars are included in the Web-inf/lib does anyone of the participating people from jboss know on what is going on here, obviously jboss thinks that the tag does not exist, but I have no clue why, the jar is there. (the header is following: <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h"%> <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f"%> <%@ taglib uri="http://myfaces.apache.org/extensions" prefix="x"%>
