selectManyListbox valueChangeListener

Do I use valueChangeListener in the correct way?

The bean method assortmentChange is not called when I change to 
option in the select control. I think this is strange. I tried it 
with immediate and without


      <h:selectManyListbox value="#{sell.assortments}" size="6" 
immediate="true"
                        valueChangeListener="#{sell.assortmentChange}">
          <f:selectItems value="#{sell.assortmentChoice}" />
        </h:selectManyListbox
