Stick
to following the implementation details in the acegi doco, there's really
nothing in there that is JSF related.
The
JSF stuff, especially the stuff mentioned on the link provided below, is stictly
for the embedded tags within your jsp/facelets pages; they have nothing to do
with the acegi implementation itself.
Get
your security framework working using the acegi doco, then you can start
decorating your pages with the acegi-jsf tags.

I have been scouring the net looking for all the missing pieces to implement a multi-role application for MyFaces.
Either I am really not understanding the docs like http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/JSF_and_Acegi or else I really just don't understand the complete picture.
