Simon,Matthias

I cooked the whole problem down to a minimum, just a single JSP with a
single managed bean. The problem only occurs when the JSF is accessed
through a weblogic portlet, running the stuff outside the portlet
everything is OK.

I switched to using the Sun-RI and the problem went away. I then
upgraded to MyFaces 1.1.5 and the problem reappeared. So the issue would
seem to be between the Weblogic Portal portlet bridge and the MyFaces
Implementation.

I am going to rattle some cages over at BEA. This has cost me days...

Luckily all of my tomahawk components seem happy with the Sun-RI, so at
least I'm moving forward again.

I also got the broken Tiles working inside the portlets, you just have
to make sure that the tiles:insert does an explicit flush="false", I
didn't need to do this with MyFaces 1.1.1, but I do need to do this with
the MyFaces 1.1.5 and the Sun-RI: why? who knows!

Thanks for your help guys.
