I had the same issues when playing with OSGi, ActiveMQ, HornetQ and Camel. I was trying to move messages from ActiveMQ to HornetQ. The problem was the logging implementation that was missing (jnp-client import for logging is optional).
Providing the jboss-logging-spi and jboss-logging-jdk as explained in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1974883/jboss-4-2-2-to-5-0-1-migrationneeded-jboss-client-jar-files this page fixed my issue.
