there is a org.apache.activemq.broker.jmx.BrokerViewMBean#resetStatistics operation on the broker view, so you would need to use jmx programatically to reset.
It would be a nice enhancement to allow a jms message header or destination indicate a request for reset so that the jms api via the statistics plugin could do it. can you raise a jira issue to track this?
