Hello here,

*TL;DR; Our mailing lists "reply" behaviour should be a bit more intuitive
now, but in case we see any problems with email delivery, please let us
know at devlist or ping me on slack.*

We had long-standing problems with ASF mailing lists where cc: behaviour
was kinda strange. When you sent a message to the mailing list and were not
on the list you were not only moderated (this is fine) but also, when you
passed the moderation, when someone used "reply all" - the reply was ONLY
sent to the list but not to the original sender.

This was quite non-intuitive and led to messages that were sent as a
response but the sender never saw the responses. It was particularly
annoying for security@ list which is not moderated as we want to get
messages there from any security reporters.

Arnout - the ASF security guru - and ASF infra implemented recently some
changes that not only address this problem but also move us towards more
modern email infrastructure with better security and provenance features
(DMARC/DKIM) - and while it is not yet 100% fully completed for mailing
lists - better handling of our mailing lists headers, signing and cc: is a
step in that direction.

Airflow has been chosen as one of the first projects to test it with - also
because we complained about this cc: behaviour in the past :) . We have
this new behaviour enabled for all our mailing lists - so if you see any
anomalies with delivery and such, let us know.

Particularly - if you DID NOT receive that email, let us know :D.. Yeah I
know ... Just joking.

J.
